The program is provided to low-income wage workers and their families in the formal economy.

AMCOOP’s continuing commitment to bring efficiency and competitiveness among its workers has now led to the enrolment of 300 scholars under the Train for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) of the Technical Education and Skills Development (TESDA).

Last July 3, 2014, the scholarship grant was signed between the Makati Development Corporation (MDC) and TESDA.  The Makati Development Corporation in VisMin operations had earlier tapped AMCOOP to look for deserving individuals for the scholarship program.

AMCOOP, being the provider of skilled workers for MDC had assured the latter of cooperating in the implementation of the scholarship program to develop efficiency and competitiveness among its workers.  Upon passing the NCII Certification, the scholars will be employed in projects under MDC.

This scholarship grant will not only give free education to the people in the community but will also widen their opportunities for employment here and abroad. TWSP is funded by TESDA with the aim of creating better employment opportunities for the people.
