Our History
AMCOOP is a legitimate Job Contracting Cooperative duly registered in the Cooperative Development Authority bearing CDA Registration No. 9520-12013873 and Department of Labor and Employment Registration No. XII-0-2013-0919-060. Its first major client was DOLE Philippines Inc., which has a total of approximately 300 workers from Harvesting and Field Maintenance Department in 1992 until its reached to 2,896 members-workers combining DUVO Operations and Fresh Pines Operations-Station 1, Planting, land-preparation.
From its humble beginning in December 1992 AMCOOP now offers various services to its clients such as: Job Contracting, Engineering and Architectural Works. It also offers: Growership, Trucking and Consultancy works. It has also established projects such as a Pharmacy, a Clinic, a Consumer Store assisted and finance by DoLE XII and other livelihood and housing projects.
For its succeeding years AMCOOP grew faster holding the principle of providing high quality services while gaining reputation and reliability. In 2013 AMCOOP Management came to the conclusion that the cooperative had grown sufficiently hence began to bid for larger projects. On that year onwards, AMCOOP forged partnerships with Seatrade Canning Corporations and Philbest Canning Corporations, a subsidiary of RD Group of Company in General Santos City which has now a total of 1,929 members-workers actively working.
In April 2014 AMCOOP signed contract with Makati Development Corporation a construction firm of Ayala Group of Companies holding Davao City and Cebu City which has now a total of 4,101 members-workers and soon to materialize Cagayan De Oro City, Cebu City, Metro Manila, Ilo-ilo and Bacolod.
To sum it all AMCOOP has a total manning strength of 8,130 members-workers.
It was the cooperative’s main initiative in bringing quality services to its clients that paid off and presently continues to reap rewards. The technical ability and wide operational experiences of AMCOOP has been a dominant factor in maintaining a sound and profitable business for its members through the services that the cooperative has been rendering and continue to be in demand.
